Chris

Chris will tell you that he's an "old school guy" because, although he is experienced and confident with Pilates' apparatus, his healing journey was accelerated and sharpened once he began studying Joseph Pilates's book and the Contrology mat series. In 2011, after nearly a decade as a massage therapist, it was clear to Chris that severe pain and immobility brought on by repetitive strain would prevent him from continuing his livelihood.

After taking an initial instructor training course (and retaking his body, in better condition than before!), he set about applying his experience as a bodyworker and knowledge of functional anatomy toward understanding how the exercises and equipment work to use Pilates effectively and achieve results every session for every body. Out of this process, he has developed a unique mindfulness-enhanced approach that empowers newer or more experienced Pilates clients to get more out of any Pilates session.

A lifelong learner, Chris has a love and passion for Pilates because he has witnessed the good health, empowerment, and joy it can deliver. He is excited to join the team at Pilates on 10th for yet another leg of what has been an inspiring and rewarding Pilates adventure!
