Mary

In her own practice, Pilates has been integral to her healing after suffering severe burnout from an intense career in tech.  Over the years, Pilates has helped her rediscover and develop her mind-body connection, which has been rewarding both inside and outside the studio.

In her classes, Mary aims to create a warm, safe, and inclusive environment where she hopes her clients can experience the joy of building strength in alignment.

Mary fell in love with the combination of principles at the heart of the Pilates method (Concentration, Centering, Breath, Precision, Control, Flow) and how Pilates is a workout for both the body and mind. Now a teacher, she encourages her students to discover these feelings for themselves.

Outside of the studio, Mary enjoys traveling as an expression of curiosity (ask her about her teacher training in Bali!), staying connected with her friends around the world (see previous), and trying to make sure to socialize IRL because she believes life is better when lived through connection. Also reading, writing, and hanging out with her partner and cat.

Mary is also a Burnout Coach, where she works alongside her clients experiencing burnout to inspire and facilitate self-healing and transformation through discovery of, and alignment in, their Values, Feelings, and Actions — and integrating that into a life practice. She received her BS in Operations Research from Columbia University.
